The issue is 1) custom fonts are awesome and we want to use them 2) custom fonts slow down our pages by being large additional resources.

Dealing with this has been in the air recently so I thought I’d round up some of the ideas and add thoughts of my own.

A few interesting ideas from Chris on keeping your site speed up with custom fonts.. I like the idea of not loading them at all on smaller screens where memory is usually at a premium..
